Fun facts! In 1855 the first suspension bridge was created from St. Anthony area to Minneapolis. It was independently owned and required patrons to pay a toll before crossing. Later, it become the Hennepein Bridge. This picture was taken in 1868. It is the view from Nicollet Island of the Hennepin Bridge.
